General Feasibility Consultation
Prior to recommending that a client forge ahead with a project, Vanson can assess the proposed projects' macro-environment to see if the two are a good fit. Our General Feasibility Consultation process can include the following studies:
Verify existing zoning constraints.
Confirm that the existing roadway and utility infrastructure will support the project without adding an undue financial burden for the construction of off-site improvements.
Inventory the property's environmental condition for items such as proximity to surface water or the 100 year flood plain boundary, and the existence of any known protected animal or plant species.
Research the prior uses of the property and investigate any possible brownfield or other toxic conditions created by prior usage.
Assist in the evaluation of the subsurface soil conditions for any unsuitable material that would put a burden on the site preperation, foundation and structure construction budgets.
If it is the client's intent to have the project LEED certified at some level, we would evaluate the site selection in an attempt to maximize LEED credits and associated points for a sustainable site.
